Ive been having nothing but problems in the dating dept. Ive tried dating sites, going out alone and even going out with a female friend of mine but it just doesnt seem to be in my cards when it comes to finding a good woman to trust and love.
Considering Ive been thru a lot in life Im actually a very happy and positive person. Let me put some things in perspective which will help you understand why I feel this way.
1. Im 43 which puts me in the middle of all age brackets/groups. 20/30s think Im too old, 40s 50s think Im too .
2. Im very looking for my age. If I mention my age er women say "see ya" and the older women feel like a cougar because I look too for them.
3. Im Latin, born and raised in middle to upper caucasian class of the suburbs in Long Island NY and raised speaking only English so I dont speak much Spanish. This is a terrible thing, especially in south FL. The Latin women dont find me "Latin or Spanish" enough and the non Spanish women feel since Im Puerto Rican im too Latin for them.
4. I have tattoos, a lot, but Im not covered from head to toe, so I either have too many tattoos or not tattooed enough.
5. I am built, very muscular and have been told I need to "put the guns away". But I am NOT a body builder. Im muscular because Im very active, I am not a gym rat and I do not take steroids. So for the very physiy fit Im not athletic enough for them and for the ones not really into working out or being active, Im too big and athletic.
6. I was born and raised in Long Island NY in the 70s and 80s which means run dmc, beastie boys, base, freestyle, benatar, idol, prince, etc was and still is my music genre. Try driving with an "upiddy, wanna be classy woman while blasting and possibly singing "it takes two to make a thing go right". Not gonna happen.
7. I like my kid side which means while flicking thru the channels I might see an old cartoon and want to stop and watch for a bit. Who wants a grown man watching cartoons right? lol not that it happens often but it does happen. Its nostalgic to me when I see old and on tv or the Greatest American Hero. It makes me think about when I was a kid in front of that old television set mesmerized with the fantasy of flying. All boys go thru that and wouldnt want to forget those memories simply because Im hiding my childish side to please a woman.
8. I work hard but dont get paid a ton. Yes I make over $ a year which basiy knocks me out of the running on most women. I understand you need money to have the finer things in life but love is all I want and love shouldnt cost a penny.
9. Im bald by choice. I shave my head because I like the way I look and sometimes grow a groomed beard. Now just that alone knocks me out with a completely set of other women in the world.
. Now if any of that doesnt seem bad lets throw a BIG doozie at you. I was in an accident many many years ago. I ended up in a wheelchair. Now let me say this real quick, I am a BEAST. I water ski, jet ski, scuba dive, work out 3 days a week, play tennis as many days a week I can, I build and ride motorcycles, Ive done countless marathons all around the USA and still manage to work a full time schedule and go dancing when I get the itch. I am BY NO MEANS a typical "handiman" in a ugly hospital wheelchair looking for handouts or help. I kick ass everyday. Now, women here in south FL are so stuck up and or money hungry once they see the chair they turn the other way, but when Im driving my (newish looking but older model) Mercedes, I get smiles and interests. WTF?
. Not having can be a positive and a negative. I dont have anyone or anything to keep me locked in one place. When you have 3 to 4 and a full time job how fair is it for us to grow. It just doesnt work. Its very rare to find a woman close to my age, single with no or a small number of and free time to spend together.
. Im an extremely affectionate loving and a very horny man. If it were up to me we would be naked all day everyday making love and having crazy great sex and foreplay. Conclusion:
I love my life and Im very happy. I kick ass everyday and make things happen. With all the aforementioned I still get left in the middle of a desert when it comes to finding someone to love and love me. Dont get me wrong some do show interest but we are not compatible.
